POLICE are appealing for a quick response from witnesses as they hunt a flasher who hides behind joke-shop masks and balaclavas.
Detectives are deter-mined to catch the man they believe has been involved in seven incidents dating back to April last year.
On each occasion the man - usually wearing a waist-length jacket or shirt with nothing underneath - has ex-posed himself to lone women.
Previous 'flashes' have taken place on the canal towpath along Aldcliffe Road, Lancaster - when the man wore a rubber mask - as well as Vine Street, Queen Street, St George's Quay and St Paul's Road.
The latest report came from a 24-year-old student who was confronted by the man, wearing a kagoule hanging open to reveal his naked body.
After exposing himself at the junction of Exeter Avenue with Cork Road just before 10pm last Thursday he made off in a car, possibly a dark green five-door saloon with 142 in the regis-tration.
He is described as six-feet tall, aged 40 to 50 with a rounded belly and pasty skin.
Anyone with information should contact police on 01524-63333.
