A LEADING international operatic soprano is to tell the truth about her life to a Lancaster audience next week.
Rosalind Plowright will be at the Dukes next Thursday, June 5, for a special one-off show entitled 'A Diva Confesses All - or Nearly All'.
For more than 25 years Rosalind has been a leading dramatic soprano and is among the select few who have performed at all five of the world's leading opera houses in Buenos Aires, London, Milan, New York and Paris. She has also sung with all of the three tenors.
This is the first time that film extracts of Rosalind will have been shown on a large screen - and will include such treats as Rosalind singing Puccini at La Scala Milan.
She is currently performing at the Paris Opera and will appear in two new productions at Covent Garden this autumn.
Rosalind comes from a musical and theatrical family, with sister Louise currently singing the lead in the London stage hit 'Mamma Mia' and sister Marion working as head of performing arts at Ripley St Thomas School, Lancaster.
Marion will interview her sister Rosalind at the Dukes along with local opera buff extraordinaire, Stanley Henig.
To book, call the Dukes on 01524-598500.
