Blackburn Rovers may have to play a waiting game for Rangers defender Lorenzo Amoruso, according to the player's official representative.
The Ewood Park club have made a bid for the Gers centre-half and are waiting for a response from Ibrox.
Amoruso's representative Andrea D'Amico will speak with Rangers officials tomorrow but warns there are other interested parties in England, Spain and Italy.
He said: "I haven't talked to Graeme Souness but we have some more options so we will need 10 more days.
"We are considering some other options from the Premiership and from Italy and Spain.
"Rangers have not indicated whether they will listen to offers yet but I will speak to them tomorrow."
Rovers Chief Executive, John Williams, confirmed: "Lorenzo has been a target of Graeme Souness for some time and we have now made a bid in the region of £1.5m."
Amoruso though played down the talk today.
He said: "This is not the time to be talking about transfers to Blackburn or anywhere else.
"To be honest, I'm not even giving Blackburn a second thought. I'm only thinking about Rangers and winning the Treble.
"I have had this Blackburn thing hanging over me for a while now, but I think the manager and the fans have seen my commitment to them is as strong as ever."
Amoruso is currently preparing for this weekend's Tennents Scottish Cup Final against Dundee, which is likely to be his last game for the 'Gers .
The defender, who cost Rangers £5m from Fiorentina six years ago, has a year left on his contract at Ibrox.
He was the highest wage earner at Ibrox last season before skipper Barry Ferguson was handed an improved pay offer after snubbing a move to Sunderland.
Amoruso's reported £25,000 a week wage packet is one of the main reasons behind his possible departure from the Scottish champions. manager Alex McLeish wants to cut his wage bill in half.
Rangers midfielder Ronald de Boer, whose bother Frank has also been linked with a move to Ewood, is convinced it would be money well spent for Rovers.
Dutchman de Boer said: "Lorenzo will be a big loss because he is a very good defender with experience and we would miss that.
"But the club has to carry on and we will find another player to fill his place."
Rangers' boss Alex McLeish had previously claimed only a "silly offer" would persuade him to part with Amoruso, who has formed the backbone of the Scottish giants back line as they wrestled the championship from bitter rivals Celtic.
However, the club's paymasters are happy to cash in on the player's rising stock now, rather than allow him to leave for nothing once his contract expires in 12-months time.
Meanwhile, talks are still ongoing to try and secure the services of Slovakian defender Vratislav Gresko on a long-term deal.
The player's agent held more talks with the Blackburn board yesterday and Williams revealed: "We are making good progress."
D.C. United of Washinton have announced plans to play Blackburn Rovers in a friendly on July 23 at the RFK Stadium in Washington, DC.
It will be the first meeting between the two clubs.
The American club said that the team would need to be prepared to face "the talents of goalkeeper Brad Friedel", who had 37 league appearances and 15 clean sheets in the 2003 season.
