A WOMAN'S thumb was injured in a row in which her partner dragged her up the stairs and pushed her against a wall.
Burnley magistrates heard Sarah Dyson heard her finger crack and felt tremendous pain as she struggled with boyfriend Christopher Holding.
Holding, 38, of Selma Street, Nelson, who has a previous conviction for battery involving his then wife, admitted common assault.
The bench, who told him they were concerned about his previous record, gave him a 12-month community rehabilitation order, with £100 compensation and ordered he pay £65 costs.
Dermot Woodhead, defending, said the parties were reconciled.
