THERE was good news off the pitch at Bloomfield Road this week, as Blackpool announced that season ticket sales had broken through the 2,600 barrier.
Commercial director, Geoff Warburton, said that sales at the end of the first discount period were well up on last season, with the club now targeting a final total of 3,500 tickets sold.
Almost 10 per cent of the sales were to fans who hadn't previously had a season ticket, said Mr Warburton, who believes more fans have been attracted by the new facilities and the attraction of avoiding the queue for tickets on match days.
The club is also set to announce a new sponsorship deal and a new strip in the very near future.
