A CHARITY which supports elderly people in Darwen is looking for two volunteers to help it continue its services.
Two volunteers at Age Concern's Darwen office, in Union Street, are due to retire, and the charity is hoping to recruit two new members to its team.
The Darwen office provides an independent, free advice and information service and has products targeted at older people.
The volunteers do not need any experience as full training will be given, but they do need to have good listening and communication skills.
They will probably work two half-days a week, dealing with customer enquiries and providing advice and assistance on a range of issues.
Volunteer co-ordinator Christine Nuttall said: "This office provides a much-needed and well-used service in the heart of the Darwen community.
"We have a small, dedicated team of volunteers but are now in the position of having to replace two as soon as possible, to enable us to continue to provide such a full service."
Anyone who can help can call in at the office or call 01254 266620.
