LUCKY Brenda Thompson was preparing to leave for a sunshine holiday in Ibiza when she discovered her four-strong syndicate had scooped £167,352 on the National Lottery.
After informing Camelot of the matching five numbers and bonus ball she deposited the winning ticket with Nevison landlady Sheila Burgess for safe keeping.
Within hours she left with fellow winners, niece Anne Marie Leyland, 28, and friends Kerry Groves, 31, and Granville Mason, 57, in a party of 20 family and friends for a two week island break.
Last week the fab four from the Plank Lane area of Leigh returned to The Nevison to celebrate and pick up their cuts of £41,838 each.
Brenda, 38, was at home with husband Howard on Sunday, May 4 preparing for the holiday in the Balearics when she checked the Saturday lottery numbers.
The magic numbers 6, 7, 29, 46 and 49 plus bonus number 37.
At first she thought they only had four, but when she realised they had five and the bonus ball Howard wouldn't believe her. Neither would her fellow winners, two of them colleagues at Our Lady of the Rosary RC Junior School, Leigh, when she rang.
The winning ticket was bought at Leigh branch of Woolworths.
