SCHOOLCHILDREN from seven schools across Blackburn with Darwen will be taking part in a new form of physical education.
The education team from Groundwork Blackburn will hold a series of four after-school sessions in each of the schools over the summer term.
Physical environment sessions will encourage students to play games based around a theme of the environment.
Children from Intack Primary have already enjoyed their first session.
Games include squirrel hide and seek and bat and moth.
Alison Heaton, Groundwork education officer, said: "It is a great way to help children learn about the plants and animals and the world around them, as well as providing a fun way to get some exercise."
The project is funded by The Awards For All lottery grants programme.
