LITTLE THORNTON
Little Thornton Women's Institute holds its next meeting at 7.30pm on Wednesday, June 4 at St John's Church Hall, Little Thornton. The speaker will be Julie Brandon on Roses and Castles. Visitors and new members will be most welcome.
ST ANNES
ST MARGARET'S Parish Church, St Leonards Rd, St Annes, hosts a summer fair from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday. Attractions include a raffle and tombola with many splendid prizes and stall with cakes, plants, books and games. Admission is 30p and the show will be opened by Ted Reaney of the Syd Lawrence Orchestra and Dance Band.
ANCHORSHOLME
HELP support the Motor Neurone Society by getting along to the Anchorsholme Methodist Church's coffee morning on Saturday,. The doors are open from 10am to 12 noon and admissions is 50p, including coffee and toasted teacake.
BISPHAM
BISPHAM United Reformed Church Ladies' Friendship Group will hold their monthly coffee morning in the church hall, Warbreck Drive, on Wednesday, June 4, at 10.30am. There will be various stall, including home-made cakes and good-as-new clothes. Admission is 30p, which includes coffee and biscuits.
BISPHAM Methodist Church, Beaufort Avenue, holds a coffee morning in aid of Multiple Sclerosis research on Saturday, June 7. Admission is 50p and the doors are open from 10.15am to 12 noon.
BLACKPOOL
SHARE and Care, a local charity working with older, housebound people, is holding an open day for anyone interested in volunteering in their community.
The event takes place at St Thomas' Parish Centre, Caunce St, Blackpool from 11-2pm on, June 2.
