A BOROUGH council is to host an action day aimed at putting the mufflers on noisy neighbours.
Ribble Valley Council will use its Clitheroe offices on Wednesday, June 4.
The event is being spearheaded by former Ribble Valley rural bobby John Barber, the council's quality of life officer.
He co-ordinates the activities of the police and youth service in the borough's battle against anti-social behaviour, mediates between feuding neighbours and keeps nuisance juveniles in check.
He said: "The council is supporting Noise Action Day to help improve the quality of life for residents.
"We are inviting anyone seeking confidential and impartial advice to come to the council offices, where environmental health officers will be able to help them with noise issues, such as noisy neighbours and barking dogs."
The Ribble Valley Council Offices are in Church Walk and further information is available from John Barber on 01200 414462.
