A ROBBERY victim has been asked to contact Blackburn CID to give a statement in confidence.
The man, who had personal effects stolen on Bank Holiday Monday, boarded a bus straight after the attack.
Police said he had been approached by a man from a group of three around 7.30pm as he waited near the Ainsworth Street bus stops in Blackburn.
He was intimidated then forcibly searched by the man and police believe he had property, including a mobile phone, stolen.
DC Chris Shaw, of Blackburn CID, said: "We have arrested the person we believe to be involved in this robbery and want the victim to come forward and contact us in confidence.
"We have not been able to trace him.
"There may also have been people who were travelling home using a bus at that time who saw what happened or saw the man get on the bus.
"We want to hear from anyone with any information but especially the victim."
Police believe the victim was wearing a green top, possibly a jumper, and boarded a bus heading to Clitheroe.
Anyone with information should contact DC Shaw on 01254 353569.
