A MAN who left a trail of blood stretching 300 yards was said to be improving in hospital today.
Derek Bowes, 39, was injured outside his home in Cutler Close, Blackburn, on Tuesday night and went to the Royal Duke pub in Johnston Street for help.
Bar staff stemmed the flow of blood and called an ambulance.
Mr Bowes was today said to be stable in the high dependency unit of Blackburn Royal Infirmary. The stab wound punctured a lung.
He has given a statement to police.
