PUPILS at a Great Harwood primary school mixed literacy with football skills in a special learning opportunity.
Years 4,5 and 6 at St John's CE Primary School, in St John's Street, enjoyed lessons with a difference provided by Adidas Soccer Academy.
The youngsters spent a session researching and writing up information on footballers and footballers' wives then another learning practical skills.
Headteacher David Ratcliffe said: "The idea is that they learn literacy through an enjoyable method. It is something we are hoping to do later in the year as an after school activity."
