PLANNERS at Hyndburn look set to scupper plans to convert a flat into a radio control room for taxis for the second time.
The application has been submitted despite the fact that a similar bid was refused in April, although the current application does not include public access or waiting room.
The round-the-clock operation has been proposed by M Parvez, but environment bosses at Hyndburn and Lancashire County Councils say it would cause parking problems in the area.
Their concerns have been echoed by two residents who have written to planners expressing worry about increased traffic flow, road safety, traffic noise and parking.
Three letters of objection to the previous application were supported by a 149-name petition opposing the plans.
Members of the council's planning committee will consider the application tomorrow.
