SCHOOL staff were celebrating today after being told they had made considerable improvements since their last inspection by the education watchdog.
And head teacher at St Leonard's CE Primary in Langho, Anne Pickup, was again praised for her forward thinking after proving she was one step ahead of Ofsted.
Standards at the school were said to be well above average in Maths and English by the end of Year 6.
And according to the school inspectors, this is thanks to a marked improvement in the quality of teaching, of which 70 per cent was said to be good, very good or excellent, since the last inspection five years ago.
The school was told by inspectors to improve facilities of the reception classes and ensure standards of marking are more consistent.
But both recommendations are already logged in the school development plan for the year.
