A PENSIONER was left on crutches after she was attacked by her drunken daughter.
Burnley Magistrates Court heard how Susan Walmsley, 38, had held out her arms to Patricia Smith as if she wanted a hug - but hit her in the face.
She then pulled lumps out of her mother's hair dragging her 15ft into the kitchen, slammed a chair down on to her and was said to have threatened to kill her.
Walmsley, of Wickworth Street, Nelson, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm on April 24 and was committed on bail to the Crown Court for sentence. Mrs Smith was taken to Burnley General Hospital where X-rays revealed soft tissue injuries.
David Lawson, defending, said the offence was drink-related and a very sad tale.
