A 52-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after he started taking up the flags in the side street where he lived, a court was told.
Burnley Magistrates Court heard how Keith Broxton's neighbours thought he was usually a nice man, but he became aggressive when drunk.
Broxton, of North Street, Water, admitted breaching the peace and was bound over to keep the peace in the sum of £100 for 12 months by District Judge Paul Firth.
Peter Wild, prosecuting, told the court the unadopted street's residents, except the defendant, agreed a few months ago to put flagstones down.
Broxton began lifting the flags outside a neighbour's house and police were called. He was warned about his behaviour and seemed extremely drunk.
As soon as the police left, Broxton began to verbally abuse neighbours. Officers were called back and the defendant said he was going to make his neighbours' lives hell.
