A WOMAN was freed by firefighters after she became trapped upside down in her car in Bury on Tuesday night.
The 43-year-old woman, who has not been named, became trapped after her Volkswagen Polo was involved in a collision with a Renault Laguna on Rochdale Road at around 6.30pm.
She was taken to Fairfield Hospital in Bury with minor cuts and bruises.
The car is said to have rolled three times after an impact to the driver's side and before landing on its roof, leaving the woman trapped.
Fire crews freed the woman from her seatbelt and she was taken to Fairfield hospital in Bury with minor cuts and bruises.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "This shows how important it is to wear a seatbelt. If she hadn't been wearing one her injuries could have been much worse."
