IN THE midst of our concerns about post-war Iraq, one thing has slipped off the agenda.
Back in December, the UN General Assembly recommended that human rights monitors should be deployed, a measure that Amnesty Inter-national supports. But this has not happened.
In a period of continued instability, such monitors would provide visible proof that the human rights of the Iraqi people are of international concern.
