A 38-YEAR-old man from Bury who set himself on fire on the M60 has died from his injuries.
The father-of-two was in the intensive care unit at the North Manchester General Hospital following the incident on Monday.
He died on Wednesday with his family by his side.
Police were called to the M60 near Blackley at about 8.20am after receiving reports that a man in a blue Rover had poured paint thinner over himself and set himself alight.
A number of motorists stopped to help the man and pulled him from the car.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "The man's family have asked for his name not to be released at this time."
