BOARDWALK bartering got under way in Blackpool yesterday (Wednesday) as the town's first 'pier market' opened for business.
Around 30 stalls, selling everything from crafts to sweets, set up on the pier for what owners Leisure Parcs hope will become a regular fixture until at least the end of September.
Manager Matt Hughes said traders had come from as far away as Lincolnshire, Birmingham and Morecambe, and that the market is expected to keep growing.
"It's gone well and thankfully the weather was calm!" he added.
Stallholders interested in trading on the Wednesday pier market should phone Matt Hughes on 627743.
