ROSSENDALE'S healthy walking programme will be launched at Stacksteads summer fair.
The event will take place on Sunday from 12-4pm.
Visitors to the fair will be able to collect details of the walks programme and get involved with the fun "Stroll to your Goal" project.
The initiative aims to get more people walking, especially those who do little exercise or live in areas of poor health.
The Rossendale walks are graded A, B, and C with A being the easiest and C is for those who can walk further and cope with slight inclines.
Susan Schofield, scheme co-ordinator, said: "The scheme is taking off very well, there are 15 different walks on offer throughout Rossendale."
The walks programme will be published each week in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
Susan is also looking for people who have an interest in walking to train as volunteer walk leaders.
Training is offered free and expenses are paid.
