A MAN who left a trail of blood over 300 yards after being stabbed in the chest has returned home from hospital.
Derek Bowes, 39, is now continuing his rehabilitation from a collapsed lung in Cutler Close, in the Johnston Street area of Blackburn.
He was stabbed in the chest outside his home on May 27 and sought help at the Royal Duke pub 300 hundred yards away.
Bar staff stemmed the flow of blood and called an ambulance. Mr Bowes spent a week in hospital in both the intensive care and high dependency units of Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
Police were today still trying to trace a man in his 30s in connection with the incident.
Anyone with any information should call Blackburn CID on 01254 353569.
