Finally some great Cricket weather and with it some great cricket matches.
In the Byrom Supplies Blackburn and Darwen Amateur Cricket League champions Little Harwood and rivals Gujrat began where they left off last season. Only a point separated the two last season but recently they have been finding they can't take any games for granted.
Gujrat had a nightmare weekend when they lost first to Javaria and then to Little Harwood. They came back well against NQ a week later where Ansar took six wickets and a hat-trick. Earlier, newly promoted Hifield nearly caused a major upset before Gujrat's Arshad came to the rescue.
It is Sansrod and Haderia though who having a magic season. Sansrod skittled out champions Little Harwood for 98 and reached the target for the loss of one wicket. They have also had comfortable victories against St James's and Blackburn Eagles. Arif Pathan taking five wickets against Eagles and Sajid Patel hitting 60 not out. The form of Arif Issa has certainly helped Sansrod. He has scored two unbeaten half centuries.
Haideria have picked up bonus points in all six of their games.
Sansrod have been at this stage before, so the question is can they keep it up?
In the B division relegated Brookhouse look unstoppable. The side is being forced to play in the second division this season but it's looking like they will be back to the top flight pretty soon. Harangham seem the only side capable of catching the runaway leaders.
