I AGREE with the view in the May issue of Asian Image that we as a community need to be become more politically active so that the threat of the far-right is tackled.
But I think many of us do not get involved in politics because there are members of our community already in politics who make it so difficult for someone new to make any changes.
Those already involved in local politics make it so unappealing for a youngster like myself to even consider getting involved, especially if you are a female.
A female councillor would be such breath of fresh air.
