IT is becoming very easy for Government's across the world to use the excuse of terror to illegally detain citizen's and impose restrictions on others.
Country's such as Israel have increased their pressure on the Palestinians ever since the war with Iraq began. Whilst the world's attention has been turned on Iraq the violence has continued. The Russian government is doing the same in Chechnya.
Our government and that of the US might think the Middle East is more peaceful since the removal of Saddam but it seems things will get worse.
This war has given more people an excuse to hate the US.
No substantial weapon's of destruction have been found. I want to ask Tony Blair why was this war fought in the first place? Why did we have to go through this war and why are there British soldiers stationed in Iraq? Shouldn't they be home now? If democracy has been restored is there any point in having soldiers in the firing line?
This 'purge' on the Middle East has not finished and I believe other nations will be targeted soon.
