BRUCE Cruse and Nick Kennedy battered Norden into submission as Radcliffe tasted victory in both league and cup last weekend.

On Sunday at Woodhouse Lane in the Wood Cup first round, following on from Saturday's win over Unsworth, Cruse was just eight short of a century and Kennedy -- batting a little lower down the order this time -- went one better than the day before with a knock of 64.

In the cup, Norden managed a not too shabby total of 218 for nine as professional Mujtaba and Tattersall hit 52 and 56 respectively.

Radcliffe's new paid man, Pasan Wanansinghe claimed four wickets for 35 runs off his ten overs and Kennedy claimed three for 43 for Radcliffe.

Once again, Cruse led the way with the bat as he put together that super innings of 92. He was backed up by Kennedy and captain Graeme Simpson, who hit 27 as Radcliffe finished on 220 for four off 47 overs.
