THE Mary Sheridan Child Development Centre at Leigh Infirmary celebrates its Silver Jubilee anniversary later this month.
The Centre will host a week of celebrations leading up to Friday, June 20, 25 years to the day since it opened in 1978.
Staff will host parties for all the children who attend the centre, as well as a road show chronicling the last 25 years of the centre, with historical displays.
And families and friends of the centre, past and present are being invited to join staff at a dinner dance on the evening of June 20 at the Marquee at the JJB Stadium in Wigan.
The evening starts at 7.30pm, with dinner at 8.00pm, and entertainment. Tickets cost £25 with tables of eight, 10 and 12 are available.
Maureen Rushton, the Specialist Health Visitor and Centre Co-ordinator, said: "We're delighted to be hosting these events to celebrate the past 25 years and are looking forward to seeing any friends and families, past and present at the dinner dance.
"The centre has looked after over 900 children over the past 25 years and we would be thrilled to reunite people again."
