REVENGE was sweet for Lowes Park Golf Club's Daniel Thornton when he regained the Bury District Golf Association's Junior Championship at the weekend.
The four-handicapper won the accolade two years ago but was pipped to the title last year by Greenmount's Ben Howlett.
Nevertheless, Daniel came back with a vengeance this year and defeated his great rival by three shots.
There was also an impressive performance from Bury Golf Club's Lauren Caveney on her home course, she scored a net card of 59 - 10 below par - to win a net prize by one shot.
