A LEIGH firm has received a cash boost to help it develop cutting edge robot arm technology.
North West Manufacturing Technologies Ltd, based on Leigh Business Park, has received a Smart feasibility study award to help turn a bright idea into a marketable product.
The funding for a robot vibrator attachment has been provided from the Small Business Service's Smart programme which provides grants to develop and commercially exploit new ideas.
The robot project is examining the possibility of producing a vibrator attachment for a commercially available, low cost industrial robot arm which would be incorporated into a standard machine for casting concrete blocks
