BUILDING WORK officially began on refurbishing Tyldesley Clinic this week.
Dignitaries from the Ashton, Wigan and Leigh PCT, Sure Start and Interserve Builders were at the official ceremony on Tuesday -- as well as staff from the clinic - for the start of building work.
The clinic is expected to re-open around Christmas time.
Pictured helping out is Carol Turner, of Maesbrook Drive, Tyldesley, from Sure Start -- a group for families with children, who will be moving to the Tyldesley Clinic once refurbishments have been completed. Carol is expecting a baby on June 19.
A spokeswoman for the PCT, said: "It went really well. It's really positive that building work has finally started on Tyldesley Clinic."
