A PAIR of budding Darwen dancers have tip-toed their way into an English Youth Ballet performance.
Abigail Perry, 13, of Roman Road and Eleanor Sykes, 14, of Bog Height Road, were picked out of 250 young hopefuls to perform in the group's production of Sleeping Beauty.
Rehearsals took place over 11 days at the Broadgreen High School, Liverpool, with the 100 lucky dancers who were selected for the performance.
Top professionals, including Kasper Cornish, famous for his 'Ballet dancer to wrestler' episode on Channel Four's Faking It! series.
Abigail, who attends St Bede's RC High School and Darwen Vale's Eleanor are said to be 'delighted' at the news.
Bridget Hearne, spokesperson for the theatre group, said: "We were overwhelmed by how many people turned up to the audition and we congratulate all those who made it into the one hundred."
Tickets for the performance, which will be held at the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool on Saturday, June 21, are available on 0151 7094321.
