THE English Civil War was recreated at this year's Edenfield village fete.
The event featured a re-enactment by the Sealed Knot Society, a group which tours the country recreating famous 17th century battles between the Cavaliers and Roundheads
Visitors to the fete were also able to take part in a falconry display featuring eagles, hawks, owls and other birds of prey.
A novelty dog show, fun fair, mini motorbikes, children's races and a sculpture trail were among the other attractions.
The fete took place on the recreation ground off Exchange Street.
