POLICE have renewed an appeal for a robbery victim to contact them and give a statement in confidence.
DC Chris Shaw, of Blackburn CID, said a man had been arrested in connection with an incident in Ainsworth Street on Monday, May 26.
But the man who had property stolen boarded a bus straight away and has not contacted police.
Police said he had been approached by a man from a group of three around 7.30pm as he waited near the bus stops.
He was intimidated by the man, then searched, and police believe he had property, including a mobile telephone, stolen. DC Shaw said: "We have arrested a man we believe to have been involved in this robbery and we need to trace the victim. It is important we do this as quickly as possible.
"There may also have been people travelling home by bus at that time who saw what happened or saw the man get on the bus. We want to hear from anyone with any information, but especially the victim."
Police believe the victim may have been wearing a green jumper, and boarded a bus heading to Clitheroe.
Anyone with information should contact DC Shaw on 01254 353569.
