FANCY dress fans still have a chance to get involved in this year's Accrington Carnival.
The event, organised by Accrington Lions, takes place on Saturday, June 21 and the grand procession will feature at least five bands, five majorette troupes and several charity and trade floats.
It will set off from the Globe Centre at 10.45am led by the Mayor of Hyndburn, Councillor Wyn Frankland and proceed down Eagle Street, past the town hall, Eastgate, Whalley Road and Queens Road, finishing at Thorneyholme Road.
The main entertainment will take place on the playing fields of Peel Park Primary School, Alice Street, Accrington and includes an Army recruitment team, with paintball and assault course, funfair, gymnastics displays, dog agility show, indoor craft fair and much more.
For more information on how to join the parade, call Terry Barber on 01254 202495.
