WARNINGS have been set up around villages in North Turton urging drivers to slow down.
The parish council hopes the signs will encourage motorists to keep to the 30mph limit.
Council clerk Geoff Hughes said: "We have put them up in four separate areas where people drive along thinking they are on country lanes.
"They don't seem to think about the villages they disturb. The signs will probably stay up for most of the summer."
Two signs have been put up in Edgworth and another two in the centres of Belmont and Chapeltown.
Mr Hughes added: "Hopefully it will stop cars from going through the area so fast."
