YOUNGSTERS attending Scallywags playgroup in Edgworth have settled into a new home.
Twenty children and four qualified pre-school staff made the move from the now closed Crowthorne School to St James's Church.
Parents and volunteers formed a committee after the group closed and two years later, the team had attracted £20,000 in funding to renovate the new premises.
Members of the church worked with parents to bring the building up to scratch.
Committee member Claire Birdsall said: "We are relieved and proud that we made this happen."
Vicar Martin Short said: "We are delighted to have Scallywags here and will do our best to attract more groups to the church."
