FED-UP Tamar people fear further disruption is around the corner through more road works in the Wigan Road and Nel Pan Lane area of Leigh.
Local chip shop owner Glenn Hitchen claims he's been told pavements and roads in the area are scheduled for resurfacing in late summer and early autumn.
Now he's written to Wigan's borough engineer asking: "What plans have been made to minimise the effect on local businesses and do you intend to close roads while the work is carried out?
"Some of our local businesses are not in a position to accommodate any further interruption to business."
And residents, who claim trailer loads of stone setts were removed from the area during recent road works, have asked the local authority to investigate where they went.
A spokesman for Wigan Council said the engineering department had no details of any planned resurfacing in the area.
