PENDLE'S Neil Tattersall is a three time champion after winning the Witton Park Four Mile Trail Race.
The Oswaldtwistle athlete won the Europrint 10K last summer and the Winter Warmer 10K in February. He completed his set of Blackburn Road Runners' races with victory in 23:35, giving him an eight second margin over junior Tom Cornthwaite.
The Road Runners have a new challenge lined up for Neil though, with the inaugural Weavers off-road Half Marathon scheduled for October 12.
Both Tattersall and Cornthwaite are former Hyndburn members, and Tom has only recently switched to Blackburn Harriers. He gave a spirited display at his new training base to keep strong man Brian Cole at bay.
Cole overhauled Blackburn Harrier Paul Guinan to take third in 24:02, with Blackburn-based Will Garner fifth. Darwen Dasher Barry Shackleton, squeezing four races into 11 days while home on leave from Bahrain, won the M45 class in ninth with tenth-placed Martin Brady winning the M40s for Clayton.
Over 60 winner Eddie Pugh was not Chorley Harriers only success as Sarah Scarrott was first woman in 20:01. Zoe Haslam of Darwen Dashers in second was the first veteran home. Blackburn Harriers Curtis Pearce and Carly Thompson were the winners in the junior race.
