A FEAST of amateur theatre awaits this month at Blackpool's Grand Theatre.
The venue's first Amdram Slam takes place on June 26 and 27, featuring six amateur theatre companies from The Fylde.
And it's going to be a whirl of theatre, according to a Grand spokesman.
"Each company will have just one hour to set up, perform and clear the stage ready for the next company -- each night offering three different performances," he said.
The stage-struck six -- In Your Face Theatre Company, St Bernadette's Players, Lancastrian Players, St Thomas' Drama Group, Bispham Occasional Players and Preston Drama Club -- will present everything from 'light comedy to high drama', including Edinburgh Fringe favourite, Anorak of Fire, and two world premiers entitle Journeys and The Apothecary.
Both evenings start at 7pm. Tickets priced £6.50 are available from the box office on 290190.
