BLACKBURN Rovers have held further talks with Birmingham City regarding the sale of David Dunn but the two clubs are still some way off striking a deal.
Blues chief executive Karren Brady held lengthy discussions yesterday with her Rovers counterpart John Williams.
But although City edged closer towards Rovers demands, there is still some work to be done before an agreement can be finalised.
"We had further discussions with Birmingham yesterday but we still haven't been able to agree on an offer as yet," said Williams.
Rovers rejected an initial offer of £5.5 million three weeks ago because the Blues were only prepared to pay £3 million of that up front.
However, Brady is now trying to restructure the payments in an attempt to persuade Blackburn to do business.
Meanwhile, Rovers have shot down fresh Press speculation linking them with a move for Manchester United reserve teamer Danny Webber.
Webber impressed during a loan spell with Watford last season but he is not a transfer target for Graeme Souness.
