BURY companies have a gilt-eged opportunity to be briefed about the potential joint ventures could hold.
The issue will come under the microscope at the next meeting of the North Manchester International Trade Network, to be held at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Blackrod, Bolton on Tuesday (June 17).
The Network says that for many companies, exporting directly to customers overseas might not be the most suitable route to market.
For these companies, some form of strategic alliance or joint venture with an overseas partner might be a far more attractive and potentially rewarding route to a new market.
At first sight, adds the Network, joint ventures might appear to be just too complex and risky. But help is now at hand. Tuesday's meeting, which will start at 8am with a buffet breakfast, will provide an overview of the benefits that a joint venture could bring to your company and how you might best consider whether this is an option for individuals.
The event will also provide an insight into the mechanics of establishing a joint venture operation overseas and the range of support and assistance that is available.
The cost is £15. For further details or a registration form, call Charles Jacobson on 615 5019 or log onto the website on www.tradenetwork.org.uk.
