PET lover Tracey Perris's business is going to the dogs and the cats!
For she has launched her very own pet grooming company and hopes to collar satisfied customers throughout the Bury area and beyond.
And the beauty of working from home means that Tracey can combine her role as a businesswoman with that of a mother-of-four.
Her Paws Applause company is based at her Manchester Road home in Bury and is her first venture into self-employment.
"Working from my own house gives me the freedom as far as my children, aged between five and 18, are concerned," she says.
Tracey has converted the cellar of the property into a dog and cat grooming parlour and has spent £3,000 overall in setting up Paws Applause.
"In the past, I've been grooming the pets of my friends. Because I have a love of dogs, this was something I really wanted to get into," she explained. "I've always had a flair for this kind of work."
Paws Applause offers a range of professional dog and cat grooming services so that pets can look their best.
Tracey added: "I've also had lots of support from JD Pet Grooming in Little Lever where I trained for six weeks."
Although being self-employed can throw up numerous problems and strict business tasks, she has no need to fret. For husband Mike has a degree in business studies.
And thanks to her shrewd decision to transform her talent into a fully-fledged business, Tracey could be on the path to "paws"-perity.
