CHORLEY skipper Jim Fazackerley has set his sights on toppling Morecambe from second spot when the two sides meet this weekend.
Fazackerley and his team-mates go into the Northern Premier League clash on the back of two impressive winning draws, the latest of which came at Kendal last week.
And a similar performance will be required against Morecambe, who are currently seven points clear of fourth-placed Chorley in the Northern League title race.
"Morecambe are above us because they are a good side. We always have very competitive games against them," said Faz.
"They have a good all-rounder (Ramesh Powar) and a pretty decent bowling attack. But we are playing some of our best cricket at the moment and if we get it right on the day we can beat them."
The match at Windsor Park starts at 1pm tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Darwen's Gary Jackson is going into tomorrow's home game against St Anne's on top form.
Described by captain Chris Lowe as the club's "most consistent batsman", Jackson hit a stunning century in their winning draw at Leyland Motors last weekend.
Lowe said: "Gary is having a great season and there were a lot of our supporters over at Leyland to give him the standing ovation his innings deserved."
East Lancs professional Johann Louw is St Anne's sub professional tomorrow.
