A WILD night out with a difference takes place in Blackpool on Saturday -- and everyone is invited.
A nocturnal wildlife watch gives a rare opportunity to keep an eye on the creatures of the night at Marton Mere.
The Friends of Marton Mere will be joined by experts with bat detectors, moth traps and SAS style night vision goggles to get a rare glimpse of animals like foxes, owls and bats.
Warden Dave McGrath said: "There are many creatures out and about at night, some of them we never get a chance to observe in a natural setting, so I hope the public will join us for what I'm sure will be a rewarding and informative few hours."
Anyone taking part should meet at the Information Centre at the end of Lawson Field track. Warm clothes and a torch should also be brought.
The event is free but donations to the Friends of Marton Mere would be appreciated.
