REGARDING the London Road athletic track and Muslim burials.
Hypocrisy is the name of the game at our town hall. First Councillor Cole. I remember about three years ago in a council debate, saying that he lived nearby the site and saw no problem in a burial site being there. The same councillor this year has been instrumental in the protests.
The town planners who, some four years ago, suggested the site to the Burial Society for the purpose saying that it was redundant. The same planners are today saying why the site is unsuitable.
The leisure department, which when making the case for the Ingol sports facility, said that they will move the activities of the track to Ingol, now want to hang on to the site. A case of grab what you can.
