I RECENTLY saw the amazing sight of a fully-grown deer, complete with antlers, in Church Fields, Ramsbottom, which is just off Grants Lane.
I have been walking my dog there for nearly 14 years and have never seen such a fabulous and beautiful creature. It was slightly worrying as I didn't know where it was heading (it seemed to be making its way towards the duck pond on Kay Brow, which is next to a busy road).
I didn't know there were deer in this area and wonder where it came from. It was cinnamon in colour with small, velvety covered antlers. I was about 100 yards away and it stood and looked in my direction before continuing on its path.
PAM SMART, Kay Brow, Ramsbottom.
