THE other day I happened to wander through the weird little town called Darwen and couldn't help noticing that the town centre there seemed to be a vast number of free parking areas.
Since I have regularly read that the people of this town want parity with those of Blackburn, can I expect that the next time I venture into these foreign parts I might see that the metal sculpture's serving the purpose of parking meters have been erected?
I am sure that the people of Darwen will be up in arms if they are not treated the same as their neighbours in Blackburn in this matter.
