WHAT is it with these people who don't want windfarms? (LET, June 4). I would rather see a hillside full of windmills than a nuclear power station.
They say that they are noisy. I think that you could put up with that rather than have ill-health through the pollution that a nuclear power station would put out.
I don't think that the windmills are bad to look at -- they are lovely. Some people come to the area to actually see those at Cliviger.
I had a friend who came up from Swindon and had never seen any. She took photos to show her friends.
We must reduce our reliance on fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gas. They are not going to last for ever.
We cannot rely on solar panels, not with our weather. The wind is natural. I would have a wind farm in my backyard.
It's time that the NIMBYS grew up and got a life.
