BURNLEY MP Peter Pike has welcomed the announcement by Burnley and Pendle Travel that the X43, running from Manchester via Rawtenstall and Burnley to Skipton and Grassington National Park will now be running throughout the summer on Sundays and Bank Holidays until the end of September.
The service linking East Lancashire with the Yorkshire Dales National Park is being run through the summer months with the help of funding from the Yorkshire Dales National park and the Countryside Agency.
Burnley Labour MP Mr Pike said: "Burnley and Pendle Travel first funded this service two years ago and proved so popular that the original single-decker bus had to be replaced by 74-seater double-deckers.
"They have revised the timetable this year and the bus service will now link up with Dales Bus network and allow passengers to travel on to many more places in the Dales for a good day out."
